Learning  to thrive in life and de-stress through Mindful Movement, Positive Psychology and the powerful healing touch of Therapeutic Massage.

Hi, my name is Grace and I am a Senior Yoga Alliance Teacher, fully insured, with over 18 years teaching and bodywork experience. I am registered RELAX AND RENEW® LEVEL 1 Restorative yoga teacher and a Yoga for Stress and Burnout  specialist teacher. I am an experienced body worker specialising in Therapeutic Massage and most recently trained as a Positive Psychology Practitioner for professional development and personal wellbeing offering health and Wellbeing Coaching.

I teach weekly Vinyasa Flow Yoga classes which are intelligent, thoughtful sequenced movements with mindful breathing helping to release patterns of tension held in the body and understand the importance of the body-mind connection to mental wellbeing. Along side my classes I hold regular workshops and retreats in yoga nidra, restorative yoga and meditation.

My teaching is founded in the philosophy of the yoga tradition, but with the modern approach of Positive Psychology of evidence-based self-help tools raising your level of happiness, meaning and satisfaction in life.  Instead of the more traditional ‘disease approach’ of focusing on the problem, Positive Psychology concentrates on a  person's strengths, optimism and resilience.

I feel this complete approach with an focus on embodied awareness, helps you learn tools to help to deal with the stresses to modern living by unwinding and learning to respond to what we need, rather trying to fix or get through it.   - Feel, rather think yourself calm.

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive - and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humour, and some style” ~ Maya Angelou‬

I founded Central Wellness Yoga and Holistic Health Centre in 2015 to create a safe space to support a mindful approach to whole body wellness, empowering the individual on their personal journey of growth and well-being.

I host a Festival Soul Escape at Purusha Retreats, Wellingore Lincoln. which is a celebration of all things to celebrate wellbeing - Soul Escape - Festival of Yoga, Music and Wellbeing 15th June 2024

Heartfelt Yoga Nidra & Sound Healing Gong Bath

24th Janaury 7-8.15pm

Spring in Life Weekend Yoga & Sound Healing Retreat

15th -17th March 2024

I’ve been attending Grace’s yoga classes weekly for over 2 years and can honestly say they’ve had such a positive impact on my life and overall wellbeing. Grace’s classes are always beautifully structured, with a lovely message or theme woven through the asana practice; sometimes it feels like Grace knows exactly what you need to hear that day! Aside from the obvious physical benefits, every week I come away feeling refreshed and with a sense of inner calm. Grace is very knowledgeable and teaches us about the deeper meaning of yoga and the philosophy behind this ancient practice, but in a modern, relatable way. As a teacher, Grace is warm, friendly and inclusive. I feel very grateful to have Grace and the studio here in Lincoln.

Yoga was developed around 5,000 years ago in India by combining a series of postures, meditation and breathing exercises practiced to achieve control of the body, mind, and breath while promoting health, strength, flexibility, and tranquility.     Book Into a Class

Massage

Massage is the art of healing through touch. It restores balance to the mind, body and spirit. Swedish body massage (also known as holistic Massage) dates from the early 19th century. It is an original massage technique that uses oils and a sequence of movements working superficially and deeper into the tissue layers. It is one of the easiest ways of attaining and maintaining good health and is something we do naturally. (It is a natural healing instinct to rub an aching shoulder or stubbed toe.) By using oils and gentle manipulation, the sense of touch eases our troubled minds, relieves aches and pains and provides a feeling of true relaxation.

Always remember the therapeutic power of touch.
