I am feeling the unease of change as my twins transition into school and for the first time in 9 years I have ‘freedom’... Read More

Due to the bank holiday I have decided to resume classes from Thursday 3rd September
While away I enjoyed being a student in many yoga classes, with some inspiring practices from strong Ashtanga vinyasa to restorative and meditation. If you have ever been to yoga class you will usually be looking forward to the last bit, where the teacher leads you into a guided relaxation or a quiet period, called Savasana. As a yoga instructor, I remind my students to consciously focus on their breath throughout their practice. Of course we breathe, we don't have to focus to do it and our body is designed to breathe automatically. In fact the average person takes about 22,000 breaths every day, or over 7.5 million breaths each year and most of us don't give breathing a second thought... Read More
I love this analogy of stillness which likens it to a spinning top, moving so fast that it does not seem to be moving. Stillness is not the absence of life, or movement, but is dynamic. It is action in perfect harmony with itself, life in balance. Read More

Announcing the launch of new Graceful Flow Yoga website!
After nearly 10 years of the same design my old site was starting to look a little dated. I've been working hard on creating a new site that was friendlier and more welcoming and I'm excited to finally be able to share it with the world.
